Rules

Article1 - Organisation
Musemexperts SAS, whose registered office is located at 18 Rue de la Michodière 75002 Paris, represented by its Chairman and Managing Director, Jean François Grunfeld, is organising a festival called MUSEES (EM)PORTABLES (MOBILE MUSEUMS) to be held on 24th, 25th and 26th January 2012 at the Carousel du Louvre on the occasion of Simesitem, a trade fair devoted to museums and cultural sites.

Article 2 - Theme
The Musées (EM)PORTABLES (MOBILE MUSEUMS) festival is for films taken with a mobile telephone; ordinary camera and pocket camcorder work is also accepted. The sole subject is museums: collections, exhibitions, cultural activities, behind-the-scenes action, and in general anything connected with their operation in all its forms. The maximum duration of the films is three minutes.

Article 3 - Participants
Participation is unrestricted and free of charge. It is open to all. Participants guarantee that they hold the exclusive usage rights attached to their film. Participants will take personal responsibility for obtaining the permission of any third parties having directly or indirectly participated in the making of the film and/or who might consider that they have an enforceable right of any kind in respect of it.
In general, participants guarantee the organisers against any proceedings, actions or claims as might be instituted by third parties in the exercise of rights granted, and more generally in respect of all guarantees and commitments made under this agreement. They must complete and send to the organiser the permissions for the use of rights of personal portrayal and musical rights.
Any participant under 18 years of age must request and obtain parental permission before entering. This permission must be available to the organiser prior to award of the prize or selection by the jury.

Article 4 - Entry
Films are entered for the Festival on the website: www.museumexperts.com.
Participants must complete the entry form available on the website. All fields marked as required must be filled in. Films must be sent in CD or DVD format to the following address:
musées (em)portables (Mobile museums)/museumexperts.
18 Rue de la Michodière / Paris 75002 / France
The Festival is open as of its official launch on 15th September 2011. The deadline for receiving films is Friday 16th December 2011 (as attested by date on postmark).

Article 5 - Jury
Assisted by the organiser, the jury will make an initial selection from among all the films received. The makers of the films selected will be informed of this by the organiser. The winning films and those to be screened during the SimeSitem trade fair will be chosen from this initial selection.

Article 6- Distribution - Promotion
All films selected by the jury will be projected continuously, at no cost to viewers, during the SimeSitem trade fair from 24th to 26th January 2012 at the Carrousel du Louvre between 2.00pm and 6.00pm. They will then be posted for viewing on the website, in full or in part.
The makers of these films give their permission for the organiser to publish their identity, photograph and any excerpt from the films selected on any media, in any format and without geographical limitation for a period of twelve months, for the purposes of promoting the works and their makers involved in the MUSEES (EM)PORTABLES (MOBILE MUSEUMS) festival.

Article 7 - Prizes
The jury will award three prizes:
Prize for the best film: €1,500
For the two runners-up: €750 each.
A special jury award to an under-18 filmmaker: €1,000
The prize award ceremony will be held at the Carrousel du Louvre on Wednesday 25th January at 11.00am.
In the event that any prize winner is unable to benefit in full or in part from their gain, for any reason whatsoever, he or she will lose the benefit with no entitlement to any compensation of any kind.

Article 8 – Modification/Cancellation
The organiser reserves the right to shorten, modify or cancel the Festival if exceptional circumstances beyond its control should so demand. It accepts no liability in respect of any such modifications. This competition is governed by French law.
